Welcome to Victory
Thanks for considering a visit to Victory Church! We know stepping into a new place can feel a bit overwhelming, so we’ve put together this guide to help you make the most of your first experience with us. So, who are we? We’re a vibrant, contemporary church affiliated with the Assemblies of God, full of life and Spirit!
Sunday Service
Join us for our dynamic Sunday Morning worship from 10 to 11:15 AM. Expect high energy right from the start, with inspiring music, engaging video announcements, and practical Bible teachings that you can apply to your life. We wrap up with an offering and invite everyone to fill out a Communication Card. You’ll be out the door in about 75 minutes, feeling uplifted and inspired! We can’t wait to welcome you!
Dress comfortable
In York-Poquoson, we embrace a laid-back water culture, and that vibe extends to our church! Our only dress code? Just wear clothes! In the summer, stay cool and comfortable, but remember to stay covered. While some choose to dress up, you'll find most of us rocking a casual look. Pastor Jamé & Pastor Stuart often leads the way in jeans and a dress shirt during the cooler months, switching to a golf shirt and shorts when the sun is shining. Pastor Jennifer wears pink leather pants. Come as you are—we can't wait to see you!
What about my children
We absolutely adore our kids, which is why we created Victory Kids! Here, they can explore their faith in a safe and engaging environment tailored just for them. Infants to preschoolers will be lovingly cared for throughout the service, while kids in sixth grade and older can join us in the main service.
In Victory Kids, your little ones will laugh, learn, and connect with Jesus in a way that speaks to their hearts. Our dedicated team offers age-appropriate worship, fun snacks, interactive Bible stories, and hands-on activities that reinforce important lessons.
You’ll find all our children’s ministries just off the main worship area. When you arrive, simply sign your child in and out at our kiosk in the foyer. You'll receive a name tag with a unique number, which is required for pickup after the service. Plus, rest assured that all our Victory Kids volunteers have passed thorough federal and local background checks. We can't wait to welcome your children into our vibrant community!
WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS VICTORY?
We're a contemporary church partnering with the Assemblies of God Fellowship as part of the Potomac Ministry Network. Our vibrant community values relationships with churches of all denominations across the Peninsula, and we love coming together to worship in the spirit of unity. Join us as we celebrate faith, fellowship, and the joy of worshiping together in Christ!
WHAT Does Victory Believe?
At the heart of our faith is a vibrant Christianity anchored in "The Holy Scripture, The Holy Spirit, and The Holy Community of Faith"—the Scripture, the Spirit, and the Space. We see the Bible as the solid foundation upon which we build a loving, healthy church where friendships flourish and life is truly lived.
Rooted in this belief, we embrace a dynamic Christian faith that resonates with the timeless truths of the Nicene Creed. Join us as we explore faith together in a community that values connection and growth!
WE believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from where He is coming to judge the living and the dead.
WE believe in the Holy Spirit,
the universal church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
